Pre-AP Timeline, Surveys and Report Card Submissions

AP Information Night 

 

Enrollment Period into AP Program at Bishop Reding HS 

  • Time-frame: November 15th, 2018 – December 14th, 2018 

To enroll into our AP program, the following must be completed

  1. Must be willing to apply to minimum 2 AP courses
  2. Must register for a google account (LINK) in order to complete the Pre-AP Application
  3. Must complete Pre-AP ONLINE Application (SURVEY** Registration is CLOSED
  4. Must complete and be successful on the AP entrance exam (read below)
  5. Hand in COMPLETED registration package to Student Services (Due Friday, December 14th by 3pm).  Please make sure to follow the checklist of required items for a completed package.

 

Pre-AP  Entrance Exam 

  • Each student must complete successfully the Pre-AP entrance exam to be enrolled in the AP program at Bishop Reding
  • All Pre-AP entrance exams will have a cost of $15 (CASH) – receipts will be available upon request
  • All exams will be written at Bishop Reding High School on the dates indicated below
  • Students must register for the test using the links below

Test # 1 – December 8th, 2018 (9:00am – 12:00pm)

Test # 2 – December 15th, 2018 (9:00am – 12:00pm)

Important Notes for the Day of Test 

  • Please arrive between 8:30-8:45am; bring $15 EXACT cash
  • Test begins at 9:00am
  • Reading = 60 mins; Writing = 35 mins; Break = 20 mins; Math = 60 mins (total time = 3 hours)
  • Please pick up your child promptly at 12:00 noon
  • Pizza will be served at break, students are to bring their own water bottles
  • Items to bring:
    • Pencils
    • Eraser
    • Scientific Calculator
  • If you requested a receipt for the $15 fee and did not receive it up on the test day, please come to student services during regular hours (8am-3pm) to pick it up.

 

AP Committee reviews all AP Applications 

  • Time-frame: January 7th, 2019 – February 14th, 2019 

 

Parents/Guardians are Notified about AP Applications 

  • Date: February 15th, 2019

Parents/Guardians are contacted via EMAIL to indicate the status of their son/daughter’s AP Application.  Emails will indicted if the application has been:

  1. Accepted into an AP Course
  2. Denied enrollment into an AP Course
  3. Has been put on a Waiting List for enrollment into an AP course.

 

Submission of Grade 8 Midterm Report Cards (Waitlisted Students)

  • Time-frame: February 15th, 2019 – February 22nd, 2019

If your AP application has been put on a waiting list and you would like to now submit your Grade 8 Midterm Report card, so that the AP committee can revisit your Application, please click on the follow image.

Parents/Guardians will be notified about their waiting list applications by March 1st, 2019
