Socktober Event – Bring in your Socks to help those in need!

Dear BR community,

In Evangelii Gaudium, “The Joy of the Gospel,” Pope Francis reminds us that “none of us can think we are exempt from concern for the poor and for social justice.” With this in mind, Bishop Reding’s H.O.P.E Project aims to “Help Open People’s Eyes” to various social issues and ways students can make a difference in their community.

From Tuesday, October 16 – Tuesday, October 30, 2018 we will be celebrating “Socktober” by having our Sock Drive. Even a small act of love, like donating a pair of socks, can make a big difference in the lives of our neighbours who are experiencing homelessness. Students are asked to bring a new pair of socks to our chapel.

Parents/Guardians, please consider bringing a pair of socks when you join us on Thursday, October 18th for Parent -Teacher Interviews. Members of our H.O.P.E. group will be in the piazza to collect your sock donations.

We thank you in advance for your support.
